What is the greatest love in the world?
Recently, I watched "The Passion of the Christ" - the most successful non-English film and the most successful R rated film in U.S.. I know the key of sucess of this movie after finished the whole movie.
This film is about the Passion (arrest, trial, crucifixion, and later on, the resurrection of Jesus) in Catholic account.
The greatest love in the world is shown in this film, the love from Jesus. Although He knew that He was betrayed by one of his disciples, Judas, He still forgave and faced His fate; although there were many people wanted Him to die, He still asked for God's forgiveness... He suffered alot physically, spiritually and mentally just for all mankind...This love, is the greatest!!!
Beside this great love from Jesus, I noticed there are other loves in this film.
There's a scene showed motherly love from His mother, Mary, when she saw her son fell down when carrying the cross. It reminded her of the time Jesus fell down once when He was still young. This power made her ran out and supported him. As a mother, the cruelest thing is when seeing her child suffering and dies. And Mary was be with Him all the way, until His death. Although she couldn't do anything for Him, her motherly love must be highly praised definately... This motivates me to become more cherish the time with my parents and love them more...
Well, this film also showed the other side of human being - greedy, cruelty, selfish... Satan appeared in this film as the symbol of the evil.
It's a very nice film. Even though it's about Christianity, it's worth to watch it... This film really gives people a lot of reflections.
